How Do I Contact My Bank?

If you are experiencing financial difficulty, you should call your bank and tell them that you’re not able to pay your debts or you’re experiencing financial difficulty.

Banks can help – they have specialist financial hardship teams. These are dedicated staff trained to take the time to understand your situation and provide you with personal assistance and information to find the best possible way to help and organise your financial obligations with your bank.

A dedicated contact number has been set up to make it as easy as possible to get through to your bank’s financial hardship team. They can provide more options and more flexibility. They’re trained to assist people just like you.

You’ll need to provide your bank with information, including about your financial circumstances, so that they can assess your situation. Why not use our Budget Planner to better prepare yourself.

If you’re only seeking information, you can also go to your bank branch or access your bank’s website.
